What was meant to be a hyped-up promo quickly turned into one of the most controversial WWE segments of the year — and it’s now been deleted from WWE’s official channels.
During this week’s SmackDown live from Chicago’s Allstate Arena, tensions between Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair boiled over in a way that clearly went beyond what WWE had planned. The segment aired ahead of their anticipated WrestleMania showdown in Las Vegas, but what fans witnessed wasn’t just your typical promo battle.
💥 Tensions Explode Live On Air
The segment started off intense but soon veered into very personal territory. Stratton took a brutal shot at Charlotte’s personal life, referencing her real-life divorce history with a stinging line:
“When it’s all said and done, you’re going to be just like you are outside of the ring — alone! What is that record, like 0–3?”
Charlotte, visibly fired up, clapped back with an equally cutting remark that sent the crowd into a frenzy:
“Is that why [Ludwig] Kaiser is in my DMs?”
The line referenced Stratton’s real-life partner — adding another layer of real-world drama that fans weren’t expecting.
🤯 WWE Responds: Video Deleted, Segment Edited
Not long after the segment aired, WWE uploaded the clip to their digital platforms — only to delete it shortly after. When the segment was re-uploaded on X (formerly Twitter), all the personal digs were noticeably edited out.
According to multiple reports, including insider account WrestleVotes, neither superstar followed the planned script:
“Charlotte & Tiffany said very little of what was in the rundown for them. Off script quite a bit.”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful later confirmed that all the controversial lines were removed from the final version and added that every source within WWE believes the two superstars “went heavily off script.”
👀 Real Heat or Brilliant Work?
Whether this was a true unscripted moment or a calculated move to spark buzz, it worked. The segment has fans talking, and the anticipation for Tiffany vs. Charlotte at WrestleMania is at an all-time high.
One thing’s for sure — the road to WrestleMania just got a lot more personal.
